Road Map

Kampoos is an open online tool to publish and search climb topos based on a free software and open to participation.

To generate a dynamic, complete and funtional tool, we will listen the users proposals and we will update our working plan based on them. We will obtain a useful platform for the needs of the climbing community. On this moment, the working plan and dedicated grade of Kampoos are:


  • To improve an maintain the source code (working)
Kampoos is completely developed with free software using a Symfony platform and a Mysql. Symfony data base, written in PHP, used with success in a huge of great projects of the network as:

On this first Kampoos 0.1 versión we already have more than 100.000 code lines. The update, revision and optimization of the aplication is done daily.

  • Accept  video and openet platforms (high priority)
By the moment, the users can only upload video files with a flash format (*swf). They have to convert by themselves the videos to upload them. To facilitate this procedure in a future, we will connect Kampoos with any platform as Vimeo or Youtube.
  • Opinión system (high priority)
With this system the users can give their opinion about Kampoos contents (ways, sectors, climbing zones)

  • Personal  notebook of “encadenamiento) (middle/high)
In the mesure that “Kampoos database will grow, users not only can upload the routes they know but also can writte on their personal notebook their ascensions and other releted aspects.

  • Dynamic graduation of the climbing routes (middle priority)
When the user writes his ascensions he will be able to give an opinion about the grade. “de esta manera” We will have more information to grade routes by a dinamic and democratic way.

  • Zones generators and climbing routes (middle priority)
To unify all the Kampoos contents, we are working in a platform that can helps users to generate the “reseñas” of the cosen routes. The target of Kampoos  is to “facilitar” the creation of clearly and practic contents.

(*) The viability and the timings of the exposed objectives are connected to the answer of the community and the evolution of the projects. This project is realized in our free time, without having any external economical help. For this reason our availability is limited.
